On Sunday, Cellan, RSPB Cymru’s South Wales Site manager will be taking part in one of the most grueling challenges on the back of a bike; The Haute Route. He will be cycling three times the height of Snowdon every day for seven days! He’s raising funds for the RSPB and Size of Wales’ joint project to conserve the Gola Rainforest in Sierra Leone. With your support, together we can make a real difference to nature everywhere. Size of Wales have promised to double the amount of money that Cellan raises. https://www.justgiving.com/Cellan-Michael1

The RSPB has been involved in this vital work to conserve the rainforest which is home to around 330 species of birds, 14 of which are threatened and a number of other rare animals, for 25 years. These include white-necked picathartes, gola malimbe, pygmy hippopotamus and chimpanzees.

Cellan and his family are already in France counting the hours before the start. The 855KM long route which goes from Nice on the Mediterranean coast to Geneva climbs 22150M+ and lasts 7 days! So lets all support Cellan as he attempts this feat for a great cause! We’d also like to thank Jones Crisps for their support.
