The Hay Festival brings together some of the most renowned writers, comedians, musicians, scientists and historians in the world and as it celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, we’ll be making the most of the festival’s thrilling events programme as we host our own wildlife workshops in the festival’s wild garden.

Have you ever wondered who else is enjoying Hay Festival? Have you ever thought to look underneath the boardwalk on the Hay festival ground ors in the stalls surrounding it? In and around the towering marquees, amongst the mountains of books and blades of sun kissed grass, is a mini world waiting to be discovered.

Grab your nets and pots and join RSPB Cymru on a safari into the wild garden to find what creatures are hiding in the leaves, logs and long grass. And along the way discover the many shades of colours that nature takes, collecting natural treasures and creating a colour collage.

Here’s all the information you need and the workshops are priced at £5. Spaces are limited and you can book on the Hay Festival website here.

Dates

27 & 28 May and 3 and 4 June

Location

Your adventure begins on the RSPB stand before you begin your wild adventure!

Time

While you’re visiting the Hay festival, why not come and see what else you can discover by visiting our stand. Get up close and personal with nature as you take the time to listen to natures’ stories and much more.

Still want more?! You’ve got it! How about our wild challenge awards which you can continue at home? Fun for all the family that allows you to discover and help the nature in your local patch; this could be your back garden, the park down the road or even on your farm. We need nature and nature needs us.

Come rain or shine, nature is fascinating and it’s ready and waiting for us to find it. Looking forward to seeing you all at 2017 Hay Festival!
