On Saturday 20 December 13 year old Niamh Stewart called in at the RSPB Conwy nature reserve having raised £369 for the RSPB after taking part in the amazing ‘Color Run’ in Dubai.

Niamh explains “After visiting the reserve in Conwy with my Nain a few years ago, I decided that I wanted to raise money for this fantastic place! We had such a good day there that I wanted to help the RSPB support the wildlife on the reserve. “

The ‘Color Run’ is also known as the ‘Happiest 5k run on the planet’, as they progress the runners become covered in a rainbow array of paint powders! Although Niamh lives in Dubai, she comes back each year to visit her family and her favourite places in North Wales.

After chatting with Niamh, Helen Jowett, Visitor Experience Manager at RSPB Conwy said, “ Meeting Niamh and her family at the reserve today was really special, Niamh is an inspiration, and her fundraising will help the RSPB locally to continue to ‘give nature a home.’
