Just to let you all know that Bywyd Gwyllt Glaslyn Wildlife - a community interest company - will take over the management of the Glaslyn Osprey Project from 2014.
A pair of ospreys has bred in the Glaslyn Valley since 2004 and RSPB Cymru has been running a viewing centre at Pont Croesor near Porthmadog since 2005. A great big ‘thank you’ to the staff and volunteers who helped show this wonderful spectacle to over 300,000 visitors who visited the site over the years, and who saw 23 chicks successfully fledge from the nest during that that time.
We look forward to the Glaslyn ospreys and the new venture going from strength to strength.
