Heavy rain and gale force winds didn’t stop cyclists from raising nature funds
After a gruelling 21 hour cycle across the entire length of Wales, a team of 12 cyclists finally finished their feat last Sunday, at around 9:45 in the evening. They’d been cycling since 1:30 in the morning, battling wind, rain, sickness and even a broken bike chain in their journey from RSPB South Stacks to Newport Wetlands. It was all for one thing – to raise the funds so vitally needed to help preserve our threatened Welsh wildlife.
A seriously impressive accomplishment, but it all would have been for nothing had people not generously chipped in to sponsor the team. Luckily, they did – so far, a whopping £807 has been raised.
The team are now only £193 away from their £1,000 target, and they need your help. It couldn’t be easier to donate and show your appreciation for the cyclists helping save our natural heritage. Visit their Justgiving page here -http://www.justgiving.com/LofWCycleTeam2013 - and follow the instructions. Every amount given, big or small, is very much appreciated.
