We had one reported ,an escapee,throughout last year in our recording area,just been writing it up for last years bird report.There are a couple of pairs gone feral and breeding in the Pennine area that cause agro at times.

Yes it is a magnificent bird! The eagle owl has been sheltering on a window sill in the courtyard at the back of the shop over the past few days and cooing to me each time I have a look from the window opposite. (www.kilts.co.uk)

we have been seeing a barn own fly through our garden every morning for the last week-thought this was good, but your owl is even more amazing!
