this little guy is extremely friendly and has absolutely no fear, he'll happily sit on the fence if I'm in the garden and will get as close as a foot away, you have to love Robins !!

If your Robin is a frequent visitor to your garden, over time, once he/she gets used to you, you maybe lucky enough to have he/she eating out of your hand.
We have several Robins visit the garden but none as yet have been brave enough to land on my hand to eat out of it. Although they are happy enough eating out of the feeder trays whilst im filling up other feeders not so far away from them.
Back 12 months ago, whilst we were taking our 2 dogs for a walk at one of the reservoirs in Tring, Herts. A Robin landed less than half an arms length away from our Bischon, not a care in the world, but when it flew off it did not half make our Bischon jump :)

Cheating a bit, because I didn't think to take pics on Birdwatch day, here's a pic of "my" robin taken on 18th January, complete with snowflakes. This is the nerviest robin I've ever had the pleasure of feeding, which possibly has something to do with the junk food diet (pink suet pellets) since birth. "My" robin has grudgingly come to allow "the other" robin to share feeding space. "The other" robin, whom I believe to be a sibling, was shooed away most ferociously before the snow came down.
Rapper, that picture is just beautiful! It looks like it should be this year's Christmas card to me and have a star place on your wall. x
