We took part in the bird count for the first time last year. We counted from the patio window and after a couple of false starts were quite happy that our count had been accurate.However,some time later we went upstairs to the bedroom that over looks the garden only to realise we had missed dozens of birds that were feeding on the ground behind the garden wall.
This year we have a plan, fill all the bird feeders then go upstairs and photograph the garden,then put the photo on the PC make a cup of coffee and count at our leasure.
