Maggie x
Many thanks, I'm sure I will have a few questions!! I did forget to say what part of the UK I live - South Wales, not ver far from the Severn Estuary.
Hi Maggie and welcome to the forum from Lancashire.
Hope you enjoy the BGBW, although be prepared for all your birds to do a bunk on that day. They usually do. I think they hide in the bushes sticking their tongues out at us!
Cheers, Linda.

lol isn't that the usual case with animals! When you want them to do something, they do the opposite! I'm so looking forward to chilling for an hour on both BGBW days just watching & hoping the birds are kind to me :-) I'm sure the Blue Tits won't let me down! Got quite a few of them visiting.
Hi Maggie, and welcome. My birds don't actually do a bunk, they just hide until I've finished, then the one on watch says "it's ok you can come out now, she's gone". lol

Hi Maggie , welcome from Hawick ( scottish borders)
Many thanks for the welcome messages. And this afternoon I've had 4 Longtailed Tits and a Coal Tit on the feeder in the front garden! Never seen these before, so I'm chuffed to bits!! Hubby was too late in getting the camera out, but it's on stand-by in the loving room now :-) I think they're using the feeder because the other side of our fence we have well established hedges, so they might be nesting here? And it's for safety too I think?
Oh dear!!! I meant to say LIVING ROOM !!!! Tee! Here!
My fingers ain't working properly today! Sorry!
Hello and welcome!
I agree with alans warning... i think its physically impossible to leave the site, unless theres a bird in the garden... then you HAVE to come back and tell everyone about it! haha.
My birds like to dart from cover to feeder, so thats what they might be doing with your hedges :)
