Young Voices for Nature at Belfast's Window on Wildlife (WOW)

Last week, we had an amazing time at the Young Voices for Nature's workshop held at Belfast’s Window on Wildlife (WOW). A youth-led film-making project facilitated by World Pencil, set up by WWF, the RSPB, and the National Trust as part of our Save Our Wild Isles campaign.

The day was filled with inspiring stories and two incredible films that narrated the journey of how young people are saving our wild isles, aiming to inspire and mobilize other young nature change-makers across the UK. Aged 13 to 25, they learnt how to design a change-making project, tell stories effectively, and how to use filmmaking skills to influence others.

The entire film, from storyboard to production and editing, was done by these talented young people, making it a truly youth-led initiative from start to finish! With the wild scenery at Belfast WOW as their backdrop, participants filmed interviews, shared what nature means to them and others, and managed to produce high-quality nature films in such a short period. We're incredibly proud of all of you!

This project is proof that when young voices come together, great things happen.
