By this stage in the week (I like to think of it as Friday eve!) you’re probably feeling a bit frazzled.

The countdown is on to those two glorious days off work when you can kick back and recharge your batteries.

You might already know that this weekend (25/26 January) is the RSPB’s Big Garden Garden Birdwatch – the biggest wildlife survey in the world – and we want you to join in the fun!

We know that weekends are precious so we’ve made it really easy to take part - you can participate from the comfort of your favourite armchair or even in your PJs!

Come on, how many legitimate opportunities do you get to cosy up and gaze out the window?

Just choose one hour over the whole weekend and record the maximum number of each species of bird you see at any one time.  That way we know that you are not counting the same bird more than once.

If you got a shiny new computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone for Christmas, you can even use our ‘live bird counter’ at www.rspb.org.uk/birdwatch.

You can also let us know whether you see other types of wildlife in your garden, like hedgehogs or red squirrels.

We’ll be really grateful and you’ll feel all warm and fuzzy knowing you’ve done your bit and helped us find out what nature finds a home in your garden!
