A belated Happy New Year to all.
After what was another good year, under somewhat challenging weather conditions for many of us, the thread certainly delivered some fabulous photos, so to kickstart 2024 off, I managed, (only just though) to get my first sunrise of 2024.
For those who want to look back here's the link for "Sunrises and Sunsets 2023: Share your photos here...."

and to try and put a bit of sparkle, using the Star 6 filter.

This year has been a bereft of sunrises and sunsets, so upfront apologies for this binge posting of Cornish ones...
A Great Black Backed Gull enjoying the sunrise...
A dramatic sunset
as it dips below the horizon....
The following morning,13 Sept, was just as spectacular
Likewise the sunset, casting its glow over the beach...
and the sunset......
followed by the twilight
14 Sept
That's quite a collection Mike :)
wonderful sunset photos Mike; the light towards end of day (or very early dawn) can provide such amazing photos with those unique warm tones. Also wintertime seems to give a different light; often on the coldest of days when you can't feel your fingers on the shutter button !! can produce some great photos.

Thanks Snappy. I've been a bit busy lately, so it was a binge feed posting, trying to play catch up.

Thank you Hazy.
I often find autumn provides almost the most balanced colours for sunrises and sunsets. Down there, it's a lot milder than here, and likewise around your location. I often suggest to people there are some very good outdoor gloves today, that facilitate touchscreens and fiddly camera controls.
I use two brands based on experience, one is RAB Powerstretch Grip Glove, the other is Extremities Contact Liner Glove, both available from all good outdoor retailers.
Enjoying more of those fabulous Cornish sunrises and sunsets
Shephard's warning etc....
while colourful, the day did stay fine
using the Star6 filter
and the early morning sun casting a lovely glow over the beach
Back at base, the autumn high tide
and the setting sun
The last of the Cornwall sunrises and sunsets for 2024
and a nice sunset to end the day, and holiday with.
Lovely photos Mike

Today's sunrise now the leaves are all gone from the trees I can see it!
And with your luck, that's an eagle flying over your garden
