After what could probably be deemed as a challenging year, not just from a Covid perspective, but the inclement weather and lack of sun that many of us have experienced, 2021 did deliver a good selection of sunrise and sunset photos, with a big thank you to all that contributed, no matter how big or small that contribution was.

I was lucky to get a sunset to end my selection for 2021 on New Years Eve, and I managed to grab a sunrise this morning to kick start this years thread.

I got some of sun set
Sunset with crescent Moon near North Shields Fish Quay with some old river Buoys and the the windscreen house on the right. Known as the windscreen house locally as the architect who designed the sun terraces on the side of the house made it entirely of HGV and bus windscreens.
I needed a bit of fresh air before the storms arrive, so it was early out this morning...
Some of you may be able to see a bright white dot in the sunrise, its a star called Vega, which is very prominent in the eastern skies currently around sunrise time.
Post Edit
Encircled in the next pic, the star Vega
Twas a bit fresh out...
And breezy, 16.4mh, F4 Moderate Breeze.
The sun finally rising over Hay Wood
And started to cast some nice long shadows over the field
I forgot to add the following in, circling the star Vega
A glorious sunrise across Swallow Pool, Brandon Marsh
A pair of mute swans gliding gracefully across the water.
A pair of Canada Geese silhouetted across the pool
A cormorant flies across the pool
The sun was rising over the tree tops.
There really good. It’s a very Orange yellow sunset aswell

Thank you, it was a stunner of a sunrise.
I'm about to post some photos of that full morning, that may not have happened the way it did, and thankfully mother nature forced my hand....
