Thought I'd put a few photos up of habitat instead of birds or wildlife as without suitable habitat there would be no birds/wildlife !
We've only been venturing out on to our local parkland and within an hours drive away; here's a few pics of England's green and pleasant land ! All taken on iPhone.
This was Peak District heading towards Hartington Village
heading out of Hartington towards River Dove
River Dove
This is farmland by Alderley Park in Cheshire
and this is the parkland area with lots of trees and lots of ferns and Rhododendrons. Bluebells were still in flower here .....
one of several ponds on the parkland
and this is Woolston Eyes nature reserve near Warrington where there is a huge expanse of reed beds attracting all sorts of birds including breeding Black-necked Grebes
This morning we took a short drive to the area of Marple and Brabyns Park where we walked a section of the River Goyt and then headed towards the Peak Forest Canal and junction of Macclesfield Canal
1st a nice water drop area on River Goyt
and lock area on the Peak Forest Canal
Please feel to add your scenic shots here if you wish (no birds or wildlife ! ) just habitat, countryside, or even coast etc.....

Birding is for everyone no matter how good or bad we are at it,enjoy it while you can
Yes, or should I say a large percentage of the house is Elizabethan.
The earliest records of the house, a moated medieval manor house, date back to 1483, with subsequent additions and alterations. Its a fascinating place with priest holes where the Jesuit Priests would hide from persecution and many other artefacts.
The gardens are well tended and harbour a lot of wildlife, which make it a good place to visit, not just for the house and gardens, but wildlife as well.
Just a short walk from the house is St Michael's Church, a very ornate little church, formerly Catholic, and later, Church of England, which is also rich with wildlife.
Bumping this thread back up for any scenic pics .....
Peak District Beresford Dale
Wolfscote Dale
Nice photos Hazel and nice to see somewhere I've not been to for toooo long.
A bit of a booster for this thread, views from RSPB Conwy, looking down the estuary on a cloudy, but very warm day,
And across the estuary, Conwy Castle and Conwy Mountain (really a hill at 245 mtrs asl)
Unknown said:Sorry we dipped out this time Mike but nice to see your scenic photo of Conwy. Lovely photos.
No worries, family is important and always good to keep in touch with, especially as a lot of us haven't seen family members for a year and more no thanks to Covid.
Make sure you've a cuppa and biccie or two for the photo report.
Lets try and bump this thread up a bit. Though very urban, our house being circa a century old, (Land Registry dates it circa 1920), back when our house was built, gardens were gardens, and often a lace where food was grown.
It was a gloriously hot and sunny day, though I'd grab a couple before the cloud and showers return....
