I'm starting a new thread as the old one is playing up. Here's a snap of the sea from Felixstowe Ferry to start it off:
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Taken at St Abbs Head in the Scottish Borders. The white on the rock is guano fron the many Guillemots, Kittiwakes and Razorbills nesting there.
My bird photos HERE
Great place, used to go there as a child.
"Let loose the Kraken!"
Same scene, but this time via the magic of moving pictures.!! Probably best to select HD :-)
wonderful footage Paul, I felt like I was there and it almost looked like 3D scene. It's wonderful to see the birds soaring and the sea crashing round the outcrops. Great stuff - thanks for uploading, really enjoyable.

Good afternoon. It's not a very nice day here today but I got a couple of snaps:
From Felixstowe Ferry on Sunday:
Lovely shot, Clare. It's strange that you've brought this thread back up as I was thinking about it only last weekend when I took these shots.
Part of Aberlady beach with the village in the background.
Looking back to where the above photo was taken from. The coast of Fife is in the distance at the other side of the Forth estuary.
Beautiful, Paul.
Barns Ness, East Lothian. Very cold.!!
