Knowing my lot they'll ditch me for the day!
Actually they are being very loyal at the moment and I'm seeing a lot of them and they're eating a fair bit.
One male in particular has taken to sitting on the corner of the guttering and chirps away. Bless him.

Hi Linda
I will certainly join you in a toast to our little treasure pots.
I prefer white wine but I'm sure that doesn't matter.
Best wishes Chris

Looks like you are going to be hosting nesting sparrows. Keep us posted on their progress.
I saw a couple of house sparrows in my garden this morning. They were in and out of the dividing hedge (Leylandei - the neighbour's choice not mine I hasten to add!) Haven't seen any spadgers for ages so I hope they stay.
There is something new to learn everyday...

Hi SB,
Excellent news about your new visitors - they do love conifers, even Leylandii bushes! I hope they stay for you.
Great news about the Sparrows everyone
Sparrow: This is a picture of my 20 Sparrows home. The bush is a little scruffy at the moment and i hope that the bush starts to look greener soon.
They like the two Holy bushes too.
Hi Kathy,
What a great home for your sparrows. What sort of bush is it? I always wonder how birds can eat and perch in holly bushes without hurting their feet.
Hi Sparrow
The Sparrows love that bush a lot!!
I still need to work that out - there seems to be buds but I am not sure yet. It could do with a trim, but a gentle one though as the branches are poking out over the pavement now
So agree with the Holly Bush ouch - even the birds moving through the dense growth not hurting their eyes.
