Hello Folks,Here's something for all you fans of our feathered friends. Each friday for 12 weeks, I will be posting a little teaser for you. Without looking in books or on the internet (i.e - no cheating), see if you can identify this bird. The following Monday, so as long as no-one has guessed it, I will post one clue. The day after I will post the answer along with some additional information for your interest. Here goes ....MYSTERY BIRD #11Sorry Al, there are no tulips for Mrs Ross.
Here goes , I reckon Albatross
Regards Mick
Work is for those people that don't Bird-watch!!!!
Expanding on Mick's idea, how about Amsterdam Albatross ?I'm sure I have read about them somewhere. If the answer is an Albatross we only have 20 odd to choose from, sure to get it by the process of elimination.

Birding is for everyone no matter how good or bad we are at it,enjoy it while you can
I think you have got it Seaman, seems to fit the clue really well. So Mrs T I join in the Amsterdam Albatross.

Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.
Einstein
Not sure if it's in the Collins Appleanne.
You're probably right, Seaman, - I'm just wanting to broaden my knowledge to give myself half a chance of getting one of these!
Certainly worth getting Apple,I think it is one of the best general field i.d. books around t the moment but it is always worth looking at others as well to build a little collection up.
Hope we have led folk astray with the suggestion I'll probably get publicly hung if it is wrong.
Looks like I'm out of this weeks quiz as I think it's already been answered.
I thought Albatross was quite easy, maybe not the Amsterdam bit...But is MrsT making these easier for us?! (I hope LOL)
You wait next week, no one will get it!
Becca :-)
I'm thinking MrsT has a little twist in this to catch us "clever clogs" lot out
