Hello Folks,Here's something for all you fans of our feathered friends. Each friday for 12 weeks, I will be posting a little teaser for you. Without looking in books or on the internet (i.e - no cheating), see if you can identify this bird. The following Monday, so as long as no-one has guessed it, I will post one clue. The day after I will post the answer along with some additional information for your interest. Here goes ....MYSTERY BIRD #9Despite his irridescent garb, Mr W.A.L Drapp doesn't need a comb!
I think I've actually got it!! LOL
Northern Bald Ibis?!
Fingers crossed...

Yay! Thank you Ray :-)
At least this time I didn't have to wait for the most obvious clues whilst still not getting it.
Seems like a good one Becca,my first thought was Bal Eagle but I reckon yours it more likely.

Birding is for everyone no matter how good or bad we are at it,enjoy it while you can
Becca, I think you have got it :)) Years ago a muso pal and work colleague produced a tape of children's songs for what was then the Jersey Zoo (Now Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust) and one of the songs was about this bird. Sadly the my daughters played the tape so much it no longer exists and I don't know if there are anyone about. So Mrs T, I join Becca with Northern Bald Ibis and I will look to see if I have any photos :)

I don't see how you could be wrong, Becca. It has to be the Northern Bald Ibis.

Oh don't say that Ray :-(
I'm enjoying actually being able to participate lol!
Me too, but if I can't get the answer next time I think I'll just make up a bird just to take part. :)
LOL Apple, that sounds like me!
It's Monday tomorrow, I'm really excited...I could actually be right about something!
If only we received presents for getting it right....But if I am right, I might have to take a trip to Sandy next weekend as a reward...Any good sightings there Mrs T?!
