Hello Folks,Here's something for all you fans of our feathered friends. Each friday for 12 weeks, I will be posting a little teaser for you. Without looking in books or on the internet (i.e - no cheating), see if you can identify this bird. The following Monday, so as long as no-one has guessed it, I will post one clue. The day after I will post the answer along with some additional information for your interest. Here goes ....MYSTERY BIRD #8Eventually my narrow pins might flag.
Becca it's thousands of sea miles from here:) remember your history and think exiled Frenchman. He died there.

Another bird featured on a flag - the wire bird?
Becca, just for you - every one else look away - I think it is the St Helena Plover aka wirebird. The French gentleman was Napoleon Bonaparte, who was exiled to St Helena. There is a tenuous Channel Island link in that we have helped their sports men and women take part in the Island Games in the past - It is regarded as one of the most remote Islands in the world along with Tristan de Cunha and Ascension.

SORRY Caroline
COULDNT LOOK AWAY LOL
