Hello Folks,Here's something for all you fans of our feathered friends. Each friday for 12 weeks, I will be posting a little teaser for you. Without looking in books or on the internet (i.e - no cheating), see if you can identify this bird. The following Monday, so as long as no-one has guessed it, I will post one clue. The day after I will post the answer along with some additional information for your interest. Here goes ....MYSTERY BIRD #6A Beatle once sang about one from Baltimore, but without causing an eruption!
Would it be Blackbird? just a guess
J
Hi MrsT
I know this one ( mum was a beetle fan and followed the indivduals after they split up) but for the life of me I cannot see how the eruption clue comes into play, or am i just being thick?

Wren: A good guess to begin with, the Fab four did indeed sing about a Blackbird.
Shane: You're not being thick at all, so enough of that! Eruption is a clue to where this one is found.
Like Wren I was thinking of the Beatles "Blackbird singing in the dead of night" but I am sure that is too obvious

Birding is for everyone no matter how good or bad we are at it,enjoy it while you can
I do love that song, one of my favourites.
Ah thanks MrsT
I see your after a specific one not just the species now I understand, cannot name the specific bird though lol.
Hopefully the clue on Monday will help :)
I have just confused myself - Like Wren and everyone else I thought Blackbird, then Oriole because of the Baltimore Orioles - not sure what they are but have heard of them and then thought I was sure eruption was a collective noun for something like Starlings. I might have to go and lie down in a dark room for a bit.

Would it be cheating to google volcanos? George Harrison was my fav. Beatle but I have never heard that song.
