Hello Folks,Here's something for all you fans of our feathered friends. Each friday for 12 weeks, I will be posting a little teaser for you. Without looking in books or on the internet (i.e - no cheating), see if you can identify this bird. The following Monday, so as long as no-one has guessed it, I will post one clue. The day after I will post the answer along with some additional information for your interest. Here goes ....MYSTERY BIRD #4I love dance music, but when it comes to water, I’m a bit of a purist.P.S - apologies for delay only just back from hols.

Hope you had a good time Mrs T
a good laugh is better than a tonic

For advice about Birding, Identification, field guides, binoculars, scopes, tripods, etc - put 'Birding Tips' into the search box
I am still groaning at that pun S. I can see where BL's thinking is going and now have a certain Manfred Mann song buzzing around my head. Now given that Mrs T has been going for rarities will have to seriously think about which one it might be. Trying to remember which type is at Durrell - I think it is Chilean but might be Andean - would it be cheating if I went there to check I wonder?
Caroline in Jersey
Edit: Mrs T I am going for Chilean 'Mingo

Germain,I think the song you were thinking of was "Pretty Flamingo"

Birding is for everyone no matter how good or bad we are at it,enjoy it while you can
As I'm no good at these quiz's LOL I am going for a Dipper !!!
When you see the kids at their raves listening to their dance music they all stand there with their heads bobbing up and down !!!!
Also where there's a clean running stream/ river you will always see a Dipper (well 9 times out of 10 anyway) So there you have it.
Feed The Birds....not the cats!!!!
I know....my spelling's crap !!
Well Big Robbo, thats better than anything I thought of,lost on this one so far
I'm going to have a stab, even though the first three I had no idea about.
House Martin.
House music is dance music, Martini is pure without anything added.
That's my logical way of coming to this answer.
Viv.
sticking with Flamingo and have one in mind
one of Germains
Theres the courtship dancing, and the song and they drink clear water.
But I could be completely wrong
Think I'm going to change from House Martin and say I'ts a duck of some sort.
The clue with dance music leads me to think of DISCO DUCK.
"DISCO DUCK" LOL excellent Viv, did make me laugh ;-))
