You've been introduced to the contestants over the week so now is the time to vote for your favourite raptor!
My husbands favourite is the Osprey.

Hi there
I have to say that the Kestrel is one of our favourites - voted for this bird
It is a bird full of determination to get its prey even at the side of our motorways
Very flexable, and sticks to its motto live and survive ..... forever amen
This is all in its nature to survive whatever the reason to feed and survive
It is a survivor at all costs {big smile}
Regards
Kathy and Dave
No white tailed eagle :-( so it had to be red kite
It was a hard one between the red kite and kestrels - red kites, I can see up to 10 a day, amazing birds - on the other hand, kestrels are compact, small yet mighty, the only bird that can hover.... so had to vote for kestrels!
'Dip a dee dah, dip a dee ay, we're not seeing any birds to-day...'
I was hoping for an osprey option too!
All marvellous birds but Red Kite I think is my choice.
Well my prized bop is not on the list ;-) The results so far are interesting but misses out many of the others that I would vote for, :-( golden eagle, merlin, hobby, sea eagle... owls?
So going on the 1 that had a biggest impact at the youngest age, it has to be the peregrine seen on the isllee of Tiree '75 when they were almost impossible to spot anywhere else!!! Close 2nd kestrel as they were there all the way on every journey we took norh / south. Coming back a bit seeing them more which is great!!

Excuse wobbily dyslexic spelling!
My vote was for the Perigrine . It amasing that the fastest animal on the planet flys above our city and 99% of folks dont even know its there . It makes me smile when I see them comming thundering off the Kirk spire gain hight give a call or 2 then Hammer down on a pegion in the middle of rushhour traffic.
I have been watching them in the city for about 5 or 6 years now and always get a strange look when Im standing on the main street with bins up to my face .. Mind you strange looks are nothing new to me lol
Cheers

perregrin but I really like kestrels and red kites. PERREGRIN i would say they are the best. I' ve seen red kites in wales, hundreds of them. And whenever my mum is driving ill call out KESTREL. andsometimes my mum disagrees but im right. DS1
