Once again, it’s time for MrsT’s quizzes to branch out and spread their roots, and this round... you’ve guessed it, its trees! They help regulate our climate and provide food and shelter for a whole host of animals as well as providing us with a variety of resources, we might otherwise take for granted. Let’s face it, what wood (pun intended) the world be without trees? They come in all shapes and sizes, as do the leaves and fruit that they bare and yes, I was one of those kids who loved the school trip to Westonbirt Arboretum. For the next 12 weeks, I will leaf you with a clue or two about trees for you to mulch over.EnjoyMYSTERY TREE QUIZ #11Clue: Despite being more robust than my relatives, death still surrounds me
Clue on wednesday!
I'm inclined to agree with a previous poster, and think the answer is a Yew tree. I think they used to be situated in church graveyards to ward of evil.
GR, we have already had Yew in a previous week so you will have to don your thinking cap ... along with the rest of us!! Lol

Ah, thanks for the pointer W.B. I'm new here, and still a little unused to things I'm afraid. I thought it may of been Yew as it was used to make longbows too. Pity really, as I haven't a clue of what else it could be, lol. Back to the drawing board! Thanks again anyway.
No worries, Graham! We sometimes have the wildest speculations here (me at least. I am afraid I have a vivid imagination). But Birdie, Ray and Wendy usually have very good ideas. This time I don't have a useful idea, either. But just wait: Mrs T has announced the next clue for tomorrow. Maybe everything will get a little more clearly then.

Hi Bente. Well, I have to say I haven't had a spark of inspiration. Thought long and hard - but no, absolutely nothing yet. It's rather intriguing though, and I'm increasingly looking forward to that next clue. Not too long now.
Thanks W.B. In regards to your question; alas no, I didn't see your list of previous trees unfortunately - I just jumped in thinking I had the correct answer. Ah well, not to worry. I'm still getting used to the layout of the site - lol, somehow I've even managed to post a reply to Bente lower down on the page! I think Bente will see it easily enough though. As for our 'mystery tree', I think I'll wait 'fir' tomorrow's clue.
