A brave move, maybe, but we do listen to feedback and we want to know if you are happy with our current approach or if you think we need to be doing more on the communities. We've learned by now that whatever we do we cannot please everyone but we hope to be helping towards making this a fun and informative place to be.
I've selected a few options in the poll, please answer the most appropriate, again if more than one seem appropriate please add that in a comment or if you have any more constructive comments please share them. Thanks.

Ben A - wow, wow, wow! I have taken a brief look at your photos.
Absolutely stunning.
This is the sort of thing that I mean about interacting with us - you guys could teach us so much. Now when the Ospreys have gone I will sit down and look though your photos and I am looking forward to doing that. Ben, a big Thank you and will look forward to more posting from you.
And this is what I call the New RSPB Interacting with us.

Are folk happy for me to continue being quiz master? I do hope these are interesting and beneficial. I have certainly enjoyed doing them. If YOU think they have run their course or I should do more or keep going with the current frequency let me know. My background is in Graphic design, so perhaps I could some pictoral or visual quizzes????
Yes please! I'm often stumped and don't always post because of it, but I do always enjoy and learn from them! If you're happy to keep doing them, as they must take quite some time to put together.... Visual quizzes sound good too! :-)

Mrs T please keep it going I do lurk on your Quizzes. I read and learn from them.
Hi Limpy! Many Thanks for your comments regarding my photos, whenever you get time do feel free to have a look through!
I think that I have been so caught up in the various changes that have been going on that I simply didn't stop and think how else I could make use of the forum. I live for wildlife, watch everything on TV, go out in my free time with the camera and read about it all day so in reality I should have lots to talk about with you all regarding it, from now on I will do my best to engage and interact much more!
Hi MarJus & Limpy - glad you like the quizzes, I shall continue.
Hi Mods - we do all like good pics & quizzes so please keep involving us - we do all have the same interests, just at different levels of expertise!

Wow, just taken a look at your photos on Flickr, Ben. Absolutely stunning images. I especially like the shots of the Water Voles, a creature I've never seen. I'm hoping I might meet up with aiki and a couple of other forumites to visit Rainham (it's a bit of trek for me)and hopefully see some Water Voles. I've never been there so it would be good to visit with someone who knows where the best spots are.

Hi TeeJay, you're spot on - well said.
Ian, I'm very happy with the moderation in general. You have been firm but fair and have nipped in the bud discussions which have got out of hand.
The only area where I feel you could have been more pro-active is in developing the forum to be more user friendly to first time users. By and large it has been left to the users to tell newcomers how to do things and in this respect doggie has been a one man help desk.
The Forum Map which I did after the previous upgrade was posted without any explanation as to its purpose and I've no idea whether it ever gets used. After a certain amout of pushing from users you did post the "Welcome to the Community" thread but even that mainly consists of links to pages that users had written and has rapidly become cluttered with all sorts additions and comments which don't form a coherent whole. For anyone trying to find out how to do something they've got to scan through the whole thread. Incidentally, the FAQ's link in your very first post is a blind one.
Please don't think I'm being super critical. The complexity of this forum must be bewildering to the newcomer. I'm just saying this because I think it's important to ensure that the upgrade incorporates a proper "How To" section to which users can refer without having to rely on other forum members to help them out all the time. In my view this should be controlled and managed by the webmasters, and users should not be allowed to clutter it up with comments, although users could suggest what it might contain.
There, I've had my say. I hope you find it constructive. You do a good job and I do appreciate that you have other work as well as looking after the forum.
