Hello Folks! It's time to go underwater and explore the wonderful world of UK fish. Some are spotty, some have stripes. Some prefer lakes, others prefer streams. All I know is that I actually know nothing about fresh water fish, but i have learnt a little more :)

Think your spot on Pete, I must admit I had to look up about Grayling as in one of my previous working roles I was a Fishmonger and never knew about the Thyme smell. I just always sold it as part of the Salmon family, something new learnt again thanks :-)
I think the latin is thymulus something or other,never heard of it sold in fishmongers,are they reared on a commercial basis ? My wife preferred them to trout and salmon for eating when I was keen on fly fishing.
