I am truly elated to hear that Kate Humble is the new RSPB President and would like to pass on my congratulations! Whilst this is marvellous news and very well deserved, I just hope it doesn't interfere with her work as a presenter on the Beeb's marvellous Springwatch & Autumnwatch programmes as it just wouldn't be the same without her! Well done Kate, I hope you enjoy your tenure in this coveted role and I'm sure I speak for many in wishing you much success for the future!

Hear Hear! I'm sure you really do speak for many, birdycatcher, in congratulating Kate & welcoming her as new RSPB President- we are very privileged to have such a knowledgeable & enthusiastic nature lover as President, and I for one wish her much success in all her endeavours.

Yes it is great news! Have always liked Kate from the Rough Science series (which I loved!) and was so pleased when she presented SW and then AW! Have enjoyed all of the programs she has been involved in too! I'm sure she will do wonders for the RSPB as she is very popular with the public and I'm sure she will raise the RSPB's profile even further!!
