Hello, spare time is a rare thing for me, but I am learning to fit in 'me time' more often! I enjoy looking at all of your photos and reading your great stories. It's great to know that there are other people out there who may also get excited if they see something unusual for the first time!
Hi Jackie and welcome
This is a great forum for exchanging knowledge, ideas and news. I am sure you will enjoy it here as much as I do. Looking forward to your input.

The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
Hi there, thanks for your kind words. I'm looking forward to sharing pics and stories too.

Welcome to the forum Jackie!
There's no shortage of knowledge, advice, humour, great photos and friendly contributors on here! I'm sure you'll enjoy it very much! Good on you for dedicating some 'me time' for yourself!! So important to have some!
As regards getting excited, new encounters always get the pulse racing but quite honestly it's great to see anything at any time, even if it's a regular thing!! Seeing the kingfisher at my local reserve always gets me excited as do the brown hares I'm lucky to see almost daily on my way to work!! :-)

Thank you MarJus!
I'm learning new things each time I log in!!
Life in this country seems to be so hectic. I would love to adopt a slower pace of life like the French have for example! I suppose that's why we all go on holiday though.
I will never forget the first time I saw a badger....fantastic sight...followed by a humming bird in Barbados. Hmmm this may well be another question for the Forum .
