Hello, I am new

Just found the place to say hello, although I have put in a couple of posts elsewhere. I have been a member of the RSPB for a couple of years now, but only discovered this forum the other day.  Not a very efficient or wel informed birdwatcher, but I try to improve my knowledge every time I go out into the countryside. I am sure this forum will help me too.  So hello everyone nice to meet you.

I love birds I hate cats

  • Hello,

Welcome to this web site, think this forum will be great, as nice to chat to like minded people. I am new only joined yesterday.

  • I've just joined today as well. I have been a member of the RSPB for about 5 years now. I have also recently taken up wildlife photography (as a  hobby) so any suggestions of good places to take photos in the Cotswolds would be greatly appreciated.

  • hello lizzielady,

Hi Padster, the Forest of Dean is a favourite of several people I know.

The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.

The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!

  • Hello.

Welcome aboard.  Only been a member here for a few days myself but already very fond of the site.

    All the best.

    Paul.

Warning!  This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar.  Approach with extreme edginess.

Hello Lizzielady. I am also new here. It's really good to see a lot of folk signing up - I had an email about the forum from the RSPB a couple of days back and was really pleased as I had searched the RSPB site for one a couple of months back but couldn't see anything then. I wonder if they are mind-readers....

  • Hi Lizzielady!

  • Hello meerkat & lizzielady

Welcome to forum - have only just joined myself.

I have been an RSPB member for many years and have found the forum here very useful.

Also introducing "Pushy" my Woodpigeon who is as the name suggests very pushy when it comes to food!!

  • Hi,

Like the picture of "Pushy" I have a Woodpigeon who visits our garden, we have named him "Woody" not very original I know :-) he is very camera shy though.  He's been with us for a few years.

  • Welcome, lizzielady.  This seems to be a growing site, so I'm sure you'll find lots to interest you & perhaps answers to questions, too.
