hI  i  HAVE  BEEN WATCHING TI oSPREYS  ON &  OFF FOR  LAST 2-3  MONTHS. ITS AMAZING. I MISSED THE 1ST FLIGHT  BUT OFTEN CATCH THEM BEING  FED. NOW  I SEE THEY  ON THERE  WAY  NOW DO  YOU THINK THEY WILL BE  BACK TO  BREED  NEXT  YEAR ?

  • Hi Hail

    First of all...welcome :)

They won't be back next year but perhaps the following year or so afterwards they may come back to the area. Malcolm at LG told us that the females usually return to their birthplace. It's odd to thik that our girls could possibly be "intruders" at LG!

By the way....you're not alone on the site at that time of the morning. There are a few others from "down under" and there are some from USA and Canada floating around just before bedtime.

Make the most of today because, unlike Sky+, there isn't a rewind button.

  • Hi Hail

Good to see you here.  I am on holiday now but will try to get in for the quiz on Monday/Tuesday

Use whatever talent you possess: the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except those that sing the best.

  • Hello, Hail.  Welcome to the site.  It's wonderful to be able to see the birds so closely, and follow what happens with such a rare (for this country anyway) bird. Hope you enjoy it.
