I live in Peterborough Ontario Canada all small birds gone only pigeons, seagulls, left for over a week.
If you were in the UK we would usual say that adult birds would be in feather change and post brood recover and juveniles would be dispersing out into the wider area - stocking up up in the country side on ripening berries and grass seeds etc before either joining larger flocks and migrating or just moving to less challenging areas or coming into urban areas to take advantage of garden feeders.
