I'm pretty sure that your second image is of a male Black Darter.
I'm less confident about your first image. I think it's a female Emerald Damselfly. If you go to this SITE and scroll down until you find the image by Vlad Proklov it looks very similar to your photo.
Of course I stand to be corrected if others know better.

Thanks TeeJay. I am similar in my feelings but not totally convinced. The brown colour on the abdomen of the second has cast doubt in my mind as to it being a Black Darter while the first, on the sites I looked at, didn't quite fit the colouration of the emerald. I will look on the site you have linked and compare. Cheers, Steve.
