Hi, newbie here
I would like to ask a question that you probably don't get asked that often.
I am new to the whole bird feeding and bee/ butterfly feeding thing.
Could i have potted plants and flowers around my bird feeding station or would the birds eat the bees and butterflies?
So sorry if this is a silly question.
The only silly question is the one that isn't asked Sharron. You might find that depending which species you get any discarded seed would end up in the pots, and then the plants may get squished by birds trying to feed there. I don't think the insects would be in trouble, as feeders attract generally seed eaters. I, of course, could be wrong, as a number of species are generalists and eat anything, but I've not seen garden birds hunting along flower borders
Thank you so much for your reply, i'm very grateful
Just had another thought... Your flowers could end up splattered in poop
That's okay
