In the past week we have a buzzard started to keen at nights usually just at dusk but goes on all night. It is literally in the trees immediately outside our bedroom window. Sometimes a second bird appears to answer from about 3 fields away (roughly1/4 of a mile). Is there a reason for this behaviour at night?
This time of year could be youngsters calling to parents for either food or reassurance...its scary at night
