Hi Everyone,
We appear to have a helmeted guineafowl living around the grounds of the blocks of flats on our road. I first spotted him a few weeks ago, walking between two of the blocks of flats and have started seeing it more regularly. My partner didn't believe me at first when I described what I saw!I've seen him today walking on the road and I'm worried he might get run over. It doesn't strike me as the type of bird that should be living round here, so we weren't sure if we should report it to someone or how we would do that.Does anyone have any advice please? If he's fine to be here then I'll just keep an eye out and make sure he doesn't wander into the road. We are located in Cardiff. Many thanksGareth
It is possibly an escapee from someones flock of Guinea - they are efficient gardeners and also good flock guards or has been dumped because the someone found that they are noisy
