We had a pair of blue tits nesting in a nest box during the first few weeks of may
this past few days we have noticed no activity no birds going to the nest box
the nest box has nesting material in it
Will they come back to this nest box
did something make them leave
we do have a feeding station the other end of the garden
Hi Bill, seems highly likely that they abandoned the nesting and decided to go elsewhere maybe due to being scared off possibly by predatory birds or cats or even one or both predated? Possibly there was not enough natural food in your area, had the weather been exceptionally wet and cool ... lots of different reasons but maybe simply changed their minds as Blue Tits often do!
