My sister found a baby (what we think is a blue tit) bird on our grass. It is very small, and it was calling for its parents. We left it for a few hours and then came back to check on it and it was still there, so we are getting a bit scared. I then got worried, as it is starting to get cold, so I gave it some hay and twigs to sit in. Should I feed it? Where should I put it?
I don't know if this is of any use but I am pretty sure that it is also a fledgling. However, it cannot fly.
I accept that it's a worry but always best to leave the fledgling where it is so that parents can find it and feed it! Some info from RSPB ...

thank you wendy! the fledgling has unfortunately passed away now as no parents came to it. but it was a very small thing and i think died of the cold
Always sad to witness but unfortunately they cannot all survive as we would become overrun, have to rely on nature to keep a balance!
