A friend without internet access witnessed a baby starling being attacked by a group of adult starlings a couple of days ago. I can understand why different species would attack babies, but this is behaviour I've never heard of before, can anyone shed light on this?
It's early for starling young to be out and about. To have already fledged, they eggs will have needed to be laid in very early April. Not impossible, but they're a long way from fledging in this area.
