Hi everyone!
im new here and have a probably very newbie question, if you can please spare the time to help me out
I have a new nesting pair of blue tits in my garden bird box, which is wonderful. However I have recently planted a climbing plant beneath the box (before they moved in) and need to fix a trellis to the wall.
Would it be ok to drill beneath the box about 4 times over 10 minutes, or would that cause the pair to move away/upset their nesting?
thank you in advance for any and all advice!
Andy
I definitely would not attempt any drilling until they have fledged. Hope this helps
Thank you! I thought as much but had hoped it may somehow be ok. I’ll find a temporary solution for the plant.
Welcome to the community ... can you not push some strong canes into the soil and fix trellis to that with cable ties as a temporary measure?

That sounds like a good solution, yes.
I’ve just ordered some now. Thanks for the help
