There were some feathers flying in my small central London garden this afternoon - a small, paved, gArden with potted plants - and I saw the remains of a pigeon being eaten by a bird of prey. Looks like a sparrow hawk to me. First time I have ever seen one and never saw anything like that in the garden before. Can anyone identify it? And is this common? It had a long tail.
It’s a sparrowhawk indeed.
As I’ve said in other threads. It’s Nature! Wildlife iis always killing other wildlife!

Ian.
