We noticed Bluetits entering our house wall cavity, There is a very small hole appeared under an air vent. They are flying in with twigs and flying out with the cavity wall insulation. Do you think they are nesting, why would they be removing the cavity wall insulation?
Hi Irene and welcome to the forum, certainly seems as if the Blue Tits are taking in nesting material and maybe making the nest hole a little bigger by removing some of the insulation! You will have to keep an eye on this nest as you can't take any action to fill the hole until the babies have fledged!

Hi thanks for your reply, I certainly won't be filling the hole, don't worry. I can't wait to hear the little tweets, I've never experienced this before, so I'm very excited x
Please let us know if it's a successful nest?
Will do x
