Hello,
I've just joined this group in the hope of getting some help. I live on the first floor. Birds occasionally land on my windowsill but to encourage this and to help feed them (especially during winter), I'd like to find a bird feeder. It would be great to get a bird box too but one step at a time!
I put seeds on the sill but in the rain they turn to mush, and I can leave water there due to how the window opens. Also, the feeder I had also get very wet, ruining the seed! Any advice on what I could put out and how would be very much appreciated. It'd be great to pick something up in the sales :-)
Best wishes,
Emma
Hi Emma , welcome to the forum, have you considered a window feeder which has a protective roof over the seed tray .... this is an example of a very cheap one
but there are many more of variable quality and price, just google 'window feeder' Do let us know if you manage to use one, maybe some pics of your bird visitors?

And now we wait!
I hope it doesn't fall off!
I have some seed and water for now but will get more bits if it works.
Thanks again for the suggestions.
