Good Morning, just as I sat down to do some work I looked out the window and there it was. A beautiful Woodcock in the garden. It looks as if it has been attacked by something, but it is feeding away quite happily. It has been all around the trees and bushes in the garden foraging for food.
Welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing your pic, hope the Woodcock is not badly injured, if it was a cat attack then their bites can cause infection quickly!

I haven't seen any cats around here. I have one but he is a housecat. I was going to try and catch it with a net but not sure how easy it would be to do. It's just really unusual to see them and for it to stay in the garden for so long. Here you can see the feather damage on its back.
(Pardon the Scottish Accent)
Well done, a happy outcome
