Bird to identify please

Hi, 

My neighbour and I both spotted a bird flying over earlier that we don’t recognise seeing before in our Wolverhampton suburbs. 
My neighbour has just discovered this bird dead on her roof. 
Please could you help us identify it? It’s unusual for round here and we’re very sad it’s died.
