Hi everyone, not sure whether I'm posting in the right place.
We have a good selection of birds visiting daily but it's the blackbirds who are the quirkiest.
We have in particular a female who gets the bird equivalent of zoomies. She forages then runs & runs, flapping her wings, jumping up, getting a drink & and repeating. This behaviour goes on for ages. Watched her for 40 mins this morning.
I'm thinking she's just having fun but I haven't seen other black birds doing this & she only does it when there's no other blackbirds about.
We also have a male black bird who guards the water bath when he visits as he bathes perhaps 5 times a day.
