Hi, I'm interested in finding out what impact walkers have on the bird population in Norfolk. Does anyone know where I can find research results for say, the last 5 years? Everything I've found is nearly 30 years out of date! Our local Plovers in Peril project is having a really positive impact and I've loved being part of it, but I'd love some actual numerical data to prove to sceptical friends and acquaintances that it works.
Surely there must be more up-to-date information available somewhere?
thanks in anticipation.
Carol
Hi Carol Might be worth contacting the relevant RSPB sites directly, as even if they don't have the information I imagine they would be able to direct you to who might have it. As this is a community forum, we're mostly just birdy folk not actually affiliated to the RSPB other than through membership, with one or to exceptions.
The first question I have to ask, why walkers?
Why not cyclists, horse riders and others that can and will have an impact on the bird population of Norfolk.
regards
John
