Some photos from a visit to Woodwalton Fen, Cambs

Well, I wasn't sure but another photographer in the hide at the time who seems to spend every spare minute taking photos of birds believed it was so I bowed to his experience. Having not seen one before, I looked at Google Images, there are some that look like this and plenty that don't. Buzzard are notably variable so that doesn't help. The fact this was taken in a place where Marsh Harriers are seen daily made it seem more likely at the time. It is, after all, still a poor picture as I said.

I know it's not reliable but the photo is good enough on my monitor for google lens to ID as a Buzzard.

Oh I don't trust it 100% and would only use it as a starting point on things like insects and flowers.
It was mainly to point out to Clive it's not a bad photo, I could show him plenty of mine that's worse lol.

Oh it could have quite easily have said a Red Tailed Hawk

But saying that it is improving, I try it a few times even on stuff I know what it is like Clive's Buzzard.

Now that would be interesting to try I doubt it would distinguish between a Buzzard and Rough legged.
A rough legged buzzard was what brought me on here originally when I first started going out walking and spotted a buzzard on a fence post, I then got told a RLB had been seen a few days before, so found this community and came on to ask about them.

It's just called my bluff lol
