Baby voles

Morning all, 

We have unfortunately disturbed a voles nest. 5 babies and a mummy. Mum ran but then came back for 2  babies but has left 3. Left babies near nest in the hopes she would come back. Sadly not. What do i do with them?

    Unfortunately all the wildlife charities I spoke with were full. We ended up making a little bed for the babies in the area where the nest was, making sure it was only accessible for the mum to come back. We put biscuit crumbs and a bottle cap with some water after listening to the advice of one charity. Babies seemed to like the rich tea.

    After checking this morning it looks like mumma vole came back for her babies. Happy ending.
