250 Green Parakeets seen in Walsall

Hi All, My wife and I have been RSPB members for a few years now but this is a first time chat for us.

We have seen and heard a few parakeets in recent weeks, usually waking us up around 6am with a noisy fly past.

This evening though whilst out in our garden a group of about 15 flew over and went to roost in trees on the common at the end of our road

This was followed by another group and another and another.

Without any exagertion we reckoned there were in excess of 250 in all, the video attached only managed to catch a few
