So today Friday 4th August.
Blackpool UK.
I was in the garden at work and heard the gulls kicking up a fuss. Nothing new. I looked up and cudnt believe my eyes. Many gulls surrounding a PELICAN! I think it may be the rare dalmatian pelican upon reading and what a treat. It made the adult herring gulls look like sparrows. Never seen the likes! Look out for news now on this guy to see if any more sightings. Did head towards the Irish sea.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Lcahilltcb said:We have a pair of work gulls .... Hand fed and everything haha. We always take note of their noise as a hint as to what's going on. We love them.
Yeah! What are they, herring or lesser black-backed?
