Mystery Bird

Seated in may garden in Ashbourne (South Derbyshire) I am used to the familiar bird sounds. Occasionaly we have interlopers and I usually pick them out on BirdNET. Tonight's mystery has both BirdNET and I stumped. A pair of largish (crow), brown (from a very limited observation) birds in a tree clearly in an angry discussion with the local corvids. The call can be hear at 5-7 seconds then again at the end.

I appreciate any input.

There is a Magpie in there, but I think the remaining calls are Rooks, but if you say they are brown then probably young ones who haven't developed the white base to the beak, although they are pretty black.

Thanks for taking the time Richard. Definitely rooks and magpies in the same tree. It's the odd whooping call that's the puzzle. Could that be a rook too?

Crow and Magpie - that odd whooping call is a conversation call between crows - I hear it quite a lot around my area - they might look brown if they have been having a good old dust bath and haven't fully shaken off their feathers
